ALEXANDRA COLUMBAN

Alexandra Columban is a human rights practitioner, with over 6 years’ experience in advocacy, project management, research and public policy, in particular in the fields of non-discrimination, gender equality, LGBTQIA rights and victims’ rights. She is currently the association’s Legal Representative, managing ACTEDO and implementing its strategic directions. She was and continues to be involved in The Pro Bono Network for Human Rights, in the national nongovernmental network Breaking the Silence on Sexual Violence, in organizing Cluj Pride and other projects. 

Alexandra has two BAs, in International Relations and European Studies, and in Norwegian and English Language and Literature, respectively, as well as an MA in History of Ideas from Babeş-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca. Alexandra is currently pursuing a PhD in gender and public policies at the Faculty for Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, BBU. Alexandra loves travelling, dancing, learning new languages, and has a keen interest in evolutionary biology and psychology.
