ACTEDO launches a database with assistance services at the national level for people in vulnerable situations

ACTEDO provides a database with national assistance services for people in vulnerable situations, for example:

  • victims of domestic and/or sexual violence;
  • victims of crimes;
  • people who have experienced discrimination;
  • children facing various problems;
  • people with mental health problems (depression, anxiety, etc.), including those caused by the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • people with a precarious material situation.

The database contains the following types of services – most of them free – grouped as follows:

  1. Pro bono legal assistance provided by ACTEDO's collaborating lawyers, members of the Pro Bono Network for Human Rights. By filling out the form available on the ACTEDO website (here), any individual can request legal advice and/or representation in court on a pro bono basis (free of charge), and our team will do its best to find an available lawyer in the geographical proximity of the applicant.
  2. Social services[1] offered both by the state (DGASPCs, SPASs) and by specialized NGOs, from all counties of the country: shelter, practical support (food, clothing) and for finding a job, assistance legal, psychological counseling for children and adults. For easier navigation, this section on the ACTEDO website is organized by counties and localities and contains the contact details of the respective support services.
  3. National hotlines and online advice. For urgent situations, but also for people who do not have access to support services in their home town or who for various reasons do not want or cannot physically access the services described above, we provide a list of telephone lines and online counseling services : The child's phone, the hotline for victims of domestic violence and the one for victims of human trafficking, online psychological counseling, counseling on sexual health, etc.
