Vulnerable group: women
Human rights area: labour law, harassment
A new case was taken up through The Pro Bono Network for Human Rights. It is about a woman from Bucharest who started working with an association at the beginning of the year, and the proposed contract did not have clear elements defined in terms of payment and deliverables covered by the contract. She continued to work in good faith, but after a short period of time there was a conflict with the president of the association and she asked for the termination of the contract, at which point she was threatened and insulted by him. Recently, she was told that she would not be paid in full for the work she had done and that payment would be made from the personal account of the association's president.
The case has been taken over by lawyer Cristina Filimon (Bucharest Bar), whom we thank and wish a lot of success in solving the case!
