Vulnerable group: refugees
Human rights area: right to asylum
A new case was taken over through The Pro Bono Network for Human Rights. The request came from a person displaced by Russia's war in Ukraine. The applicant is a Nigerian citizen who had been living in Ukraine together with his partner, a Ukrainian national. The man came to Romania following the war provoked by Russia and is currently living in a school in Bucharest. The beneficiary applied for asylum in Romania, but his application was rejected. He felt discriminated against by the decision and requested pro bono legal assistance to appeal the decision.
The case was taken over by lawyer Bogdan Mircea Albu (Mureș Bar) towhom we thank and wish a lot of success in solving the case!
