A new case was taken over through The Pro Bono Network for Human Rights. The applicant who contacted us is a queer person diagnosed with autism, who is the co-owner of a house in Cluj Napoca. The applicant has been fatherless since childhood, and together with her mother and sister she lived in her grandparents' house on her father's side, until her mother and sister moved to a social flat, preferring to stay in her grandparents' house. Following the death of her grandfather, she lived in the house with her grandmother and an aunt. In 2013 she was kicked out of the house by her aunt because she found out that the beneficiary was a queer person and suspected her of having a relationship with another girl. In the meantime, the grandmother died and the succession was made after her, and the applicant and the rest of the heirs initially agreed to sell the house in Cluj-Napoca. After the house was listed for sale and a buyer was found, the aunt, who lives alone in the house, changed her mind and refuses to sell it, compensate her in any way or allow her to live there because she is a queer person.
The case was taken over by lawyer Bianca-Lucretia Tomescu (Cluj Bar) to whom we thank and wish a lot of success in solving the case!
