On the occasion of European Pro Bono Week*, on November 25th, 2021, ACTEDO and the Center for Legal Resources (CRJ), with the support of ACCEPT, ANAIS and The Pro Bono Network for Human Rights, officially launched the project INTEGRIS: Integrated Support for Human Rights, with an online event called:
Strategic Human Rights Cases. Justice in Support of the Citizen
The event tackled interesting cases from various areas of human rights - domestic violence, disability and LGBTQ rights - which made use of strategic litigation and pro bono legal work in order to defend fundamental rights. Three special guests presented the efforts of non-governmental organizations and individuals in Romanian courts and at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to call for legislative changes to protect vulnerable people and achieve equal rights for all citizens.
